Every Friday evening, on Youtube, Mary Gunn hosts a live show where she spins a wheel to randomly select four categories that will be the criteria for building a card. Cornucopia for this time of year? That was a tough one to mentally because I’m ready for spring and summer to come and am not ready to look back to Autumn 🙂
I created a twisted easel card, and it measures 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ flat. The fold is very simple, cut your base at 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, and then along the 8 1/2″ side, score at 4 1/4″. On the left side of the score, you will score diagonally from top left to bottom right. Fold along all the score lines and it will shape into a triangle on the base!
The products I used are from Kraftin’ Kimmies Stamps, which included the girl and the giant cupcake stamp, and the number stencil. The image was coloured with OLO markers, and the background was inked using Catherine Pooler inks. To create the background, I inked the whole stencil and ran it through my die cutting machine. This transferred the ink to the paper and also embossed a bit. I cleaned the stencil off and then placed the stencil back down, making sure to align everything, and used ink to colour the numbers. I finished the background off with some splattered ink.
The final piece to the card was the gold embellishments from Studio Katia, and they look like sprinkles on the cupcake 🙂
