Welcome to my Craft Roulette #110 entry!

Have you heard of Craft Roulette? Every Friday evening, on Youtube, Mary Gunn hosts a live show where she spins a wheel to randomly select four categories that will be the criteria for building a card. Mary and a guest will create a card using these criteria and then you are given 48 hours to submit your own for a chance at a prize! Check out the Craft Roulette website for more information.

Criteria and implementation

  • Alpha stamp card
  • Forest colours
  • Works well together
  • Pre-printed

I actually down own any alphabet stamps, which was my first thought about the parameter Alpha stamp card. The only supplies that I could find that were a good enough stretch, were the Hero Arts’ Nesting Postage Stamps die set. I decided I would use these, plus another stamp die that came in a Simon Says Stamp kit, to cut out stamp shapes with words on them. For two of the stamps, I ended up stamping single word sentiments just to cover the chance that the words needed to be actually stamped. lol

The paper used for the background, and the stamps, is from the old Simple Stories paper pad collection Simple Vintage Cottage Fields Collection. The colours in this paper is what I’m using for the Forest colours parameter, as it includes some dark greens, browns, blues, and pinks. Then from this paper pad, I cut out several butterflies to tie in with the flowers to check off Works well together.

The final parameter, Pre-printed, would be my pattern paper, as this is a pre-printed product. Before assembling all the components to this card, I did ink the edges with vintage photo and for the blue sentiment stamp, I heat embossed it in brass.
