Welcome to my Craft Roulette #113 entry!
Have you heard of Craft Roulette? Every Friday evening, on Youtube, Mary Gunn hosts a live show where she spins a wheel to randomly select four categories that will be the criteria for building a card. Mary and a guest will create a card using these criteria and then you are given 48 hours to submit your own for a chance at a prize! Check out the Craft Roulette website for more information.
Criteria and implementation
- Product: Artist’s choice
- Colours: Any 2 colours
- Element: Flowers
- Random: Wood
We were lucky this week with easy parameters to work with. I would say the most challenging part was coming up with a floral display with only 2 colours. I decided to create my flowers in shades of yellow and use green as my second colour for the stems and leaves. The rest of the card remained white and gray, and the sentiment created in gold foil.
I used a piece of gray pattern paper that I had received from my package from Craft Roulette from winning a couple weeks ago. It fit perfectly inside the middle of the wood frame die and it didn’t take away from my 2 colours!
The flowers were created using a Gina K Daisies Forever layered stencil that I got from Crop & Create Spring 2022, but you can absolutely use any flowers for this card design.
To finish the card off, I found some bright yellow liquid drops in my sash and added them throughout the card.
