Welcome to my Craft Roulette #118 entry!

Have you heard of Craft Roulette? Every Friday evening, on Youtube, Mary Gunn hosts a live show where she spins a wheel to randomly select four categories that will be the criteria for building a card. Mary and a guest will create a card using these criteria and then you are given 48 hours to submit your own for a chance at a prize! Check out the Craft Roulette website for more information.

Criteria and implementation

  • Product: A2 card
  • Colours: Pink + 3
  • Element: Insect(s) or Bug(s)
  • Random: Metallic or Foil

A2 sized card? Yes please. How could I not join in this week when there were only 3 criteria to worry about!

For the colours, I picked pink, purple, blue and green. I decided to knock out 2 criteria at once by using my Spellbinders Glimmer System and foil with pink. Once that was done, I brought out my Gina K ink cubes and ink blended over the foil and sprayed some water for a distressed look.

I really only have butter fly stamps, so it was not hard to choose my insect. I coloured it using Copic markers in blue and purple so not to introduce any other colours.

I then completed the card by propping up the butterfly and sentiment with foam tape and adhered some bling. Easy peasy!
