Welcome to my Craft Roulette #120 entry!
Have you heard of Craft Roulette? Every Friday evening, on Youtube, Mary Gunn hosts a live show where she spins a wheel to randomly select four categories that will be the criteria for building a card. Mary and a guest will create a card using these criteria and then you are given 48 hours to submit your own for a chance at a prize! Check out the Craft Roulette website for more information.
Criteria and implementation
- Product: Congratulation card
- Colours: Vegetable garden
- Element: In the garden
- Random: Hand drawn
It appears that my silly side came out this time around. There is this one stamp set that I received from an old Scrapping for Less card kit that has a hammer and a smilie face, and I knew immediately what I wanted to create. Since this card needed to have some hand-drawn elements, I decided to make a whole scene with the hammer which included a haphazard fence with a very proud hammer standing there. There is something very humorous about a hammer unable to hammer well, and in fact, it could make sense because imagine using your own head to hammer nails into a fence and see how well you do hehehe.
The colours I chose for this card were green, red, yellow and blue which can all be found in vegetable (fruit) gardens, and the hammer is standing in the garden to put up the fence.
The size of the card today is a 4.25″ x 4.25″ which helped me a lot with making a scene because there is less space to work with 🙂
