Hello everyone, and welcome to my medieval masked background cards!
Earlier this year I received a very kind gift in the mail which included a Hero Arts card kit from August 2019. It was such a wonderful gift and really wanted to find a fun way to showcase all those medieval characters.
I came across this ink blending technique where you mask off the top and bottom half of the card, and ink the middle. Personally, I don’t have enough inks to make all these wonderful combinations, so I made my backgrounds while visiting a friend :-). When I was making these backgrounds, I simply grabbed colours that I liked and tried to make them work. I am actually happy with how they all turned out as they all have their unique look.
Once that was completed I stamped out all the images and coloured them with PrismaColour pencils, trying to follow the colours in the background as best as I could. I then added a matching stamp and propped up all the stamped images with foam tape. That’s it! Very simple colourful cards! Of course, you can always add embellishments to polish these off 🙂
